As I reflect back on my life so far I have realized that I'm really just an average girl, with an average life, living with an average disease. But what I do have is an AMAZING God who continues to blow me away with His love and His grace in my life. This is my attempt at putting into writing my journey so far.

It's a crazy day today. Not only am I having to deal with a problem with one of my clients, I am having to fight for a campsite for my parents this weekend. We thought for sure by getting one Thursday morning that we would easily get one, but I am #35 on the waiting list for a real site. I have to go back at 12:30 to see if we can get one. I think I jinxed it last night when i said I hope this wasn't going to be another price is right journey where we assume that we will get in and then have our hopes crushed. And now i have to go thru the whole stand by emotional roller coaster. ahhh! But we did get an overflow site in the mean time which is better than nothing i guess. it's basically a big field where you have to fight for territory and you're pretty much on top of one another and you don't have a fire pit. Not ideal, but a place to lay your head and your camper. i only have my tent and a table to stake out land for an RV so hopefully it will fit by the time they get here tonight. thankfully their rv is not that big.

have a great memorial day weekend everyone, especially those with fun plans like matt and tracey! oh how i can't wait for the beach! only 5 more weeks! but then that means only 5 more weeks after that before caleb comes. on second thought maybe i can wait! :)

oh and congrats on the house kevin and emily. that is so exciting! i never got to see your apartment, but hopefully i'll get to see your house soon!

see yas!

Before I forget, it's good to see your blogging again Emily! Hope you had a fun time on your date with Kev. Dates are always fun with the hubby.

We had a good weekend with our friends Tracy and John and their daughter Siera. Siera is 2 weeks older than Hannah so basically the same age. They had fun playing together as much as toddlers play together. It was a good lesson in sharing for Hannah. She's not too big on that concept which most toddlers and kids aren't, but by the end of the weekend she even shared her sheep willingly which is a big step! And they both would say thank you unprompted when one would give the other a toy to share. It was so sweet. such good girls!

Tracy and I did a ton of shopping. Kohl's (which is a department store if anyone has not heard of it) was having a big sale and if you use your kohl's card you get an additional amount off ranging from 15-30% depending on what your catalog says when you peel back the sticker and tracy got the 30% off one, so we took full advantage of it! I ended up going a little overboard and I asked Ryan to help me decide which items to take back, but basically I got Ryan 2 pair of pants, me an outfit for Joe's wedding, Hannah 2 pjs, 2 shirts, and capris, and Caleb 4 cute onsies and 2 outfits all for $125. I thought that was pretty good. Not sure why I just rambled on about that, but there you have it.

happy monday all and i catch ya all on blogland later!

Once again as I typed my long blog yesterday and I went to copy it to the clipboard because I needed to finish it later, it erased it all. very annoying and now you get the short version.

Had a great birthday and Mother's day. Ryan and Hannah made me breakfast in bed and a card with 2 coupons on it. One is for a whole weekend of sleeping in and the other was for a day without responsibilties. And they also got me a 1 hour prenatel massage gift certificate. So Memorial Day weekend i'll be cashing in on the sleeping in coupon and massage. i can't wait. Ryan and I are not celebrating my birthday until the first weekend of June. He is taking me on a secret get away. i am so excited, because I was hoping that we could have one more chance to get away just the 2 of us before Caleb comes along, because it will be awhile after that.

It's been kind of a stressful week for me, because there seems to be much bad drama happening around us with our friends and families. I feel selfish even complaining about how burdened I feel when I am not the one going thru the situations at least. The ironic thing is that I have been on this mountain top high for a few weeks with life. Thanks to Donna (my mentor) and God's faithfulness, I am finally getting to where I feel like not only a productive mother, but a productive wife, homemaker, and friend. I'm not sure I have ever felt this balanced before in my life. And it's not even like I am getting everything done that I want to get done all the time, I actually still have a long way to go. But I am not as hard on myself or running ahead of God which I used to like to do a lot. I am definitely seeing the correlation more and more between the time and the quality of time I spend with God and my peace and patience level with life.

Great job Matt, Mare and Trace on the bike ride. What an accomplishment! Many props to you! (am i too old to use that phrase? :) )

Has anyone else been watching Grey's Anatomy on sunday nights? The acting isn't the greatest, but I really like the story lines and Patrick Dempsy. I have been really into the music too. I went to ABC's website and they actually have a music guide to the show which i thought was pretty cool. I usually don't know enough about groups to plug anyone good and you all have probably already heard of them, but Tegan and Sara has some pretty good songs. i was listening to some clips on itunes. i like their sound...kind of an alternative folk sound. so there's my music input for the year! :)

Welp time to make the most of Hannah's nap time. Our friends Tracy and John and their little girl Siera are coming in tomorrow so it will be a good excuse to get the house in tip top shape. i'll end with a funny bumper sticker i saw last night on my way home. it said.."If God isn't a Bronco's fan, why are sunsets orange". i'm personally not a bronco's fan, but it made me chuckle.

Have a great weekend all!

I just got back from our semi-annual girl's trip. Ryan is still in Cincinnati with Hannah so I'm not sure if i'm going to nap or be productive. We shall see! The trip ended up being a lot of fun. The plans started getting a little awkward and crazy, because some girls were backing out for good reasons and then there was a little drama, but hey we're girls what else could you expect. But it ended up that everyone could come for at least one night. We did a lot of shopping, and resting and talking and rule breaking!

Friday night we had 2 adjoining rooms which was nice, but on Saturday there were less of us so we just had one room. Well the room we were supposed to stay in had some problems so we had to switch rooms and blah blah blah, but basically through all this I did not have the keys, but the front desk lady said no big deal they will be deactivated anyway. So later when we got back i thought it would be fun if i just tried the key to see if it worked, well it did! So Lisa wasn't feeling good and wanted to sleep in some quiet so we told her to just go and nap in the room until housekeeping came. But a couple of the rule followers were getting a little nervous about it so I told them i would be honest and just ask the housekeeper if we could just stay in there for another hour and then come back. Well it was this sweet man who spoke hardly any english and i thought we had come to an agreement where he would come back after an hour. but then the housekeeper manager lady showed up because she did not understand the situation. so i explained to her the situation and told her that we would have our friend move. but she said don't worry about it they will just clean the room tomorrow. so then we thought...free room! by this point the keys had been deactivated, but we just kept the adjoining rooms propped open. So I could tell the rule followers were a little nervous, but they didn't say anything, so us rule breakers followed thru with the plan and 2 of the girls slept in that room! Then this morning at around 8 am i heard a knock in the "illegal" room and voice that said "housekeeping". it was such a funny scene because Heather woke up and i heard scrambling about and then heard her say in this frantic whisper "Jamie, i've got your socks, let's go" and they ran into our room. apparently we forgot to unlock the latch from the inside so we could hear that they couldn't get in. so i went and unlocked it real quick, and then shut the door for good. well by this time they were already gone, so of course the whole morning we were just waiting for someone to come and kick us out or make us pay for the room, but nothing was ever said and we went on our merry way after enjoying the yummy belgium waffle at the complimentary breakfast. i'm still a little nervous that somehow my credit card is going to be charged, but i don't think it will since it already shows that we were checked out of that room. so i'm not sure if we could call that room a blessing or not, but it was fun! I'm sure you can appreciate that story Tracey as one rule breaker to another.

I had another big victory too, because usually when i pack for a trip i turn into this grouchy and stressed out beast and it's not very fun to be around me. but this time i managed to do laundry, pack for me and for hannah, and clean the house all with a positive spirit! thank you Lord!

Well i guess I will try and be productive until I feel the napping bug hit me.
