getting ready to go to bed on my usual saturday night alone. ryan is at his friends house playing halo which is some xbox game that you try and kill people. how many different games can they come up with in which you shoot people? sometimes i miss him, but i do enjoy my evenings. i used to tell myself i would get some productive work done, but then i wouldn't and feel guilty about it, but now i am finally to the point where i can be lazy and feel good about it!
life is great here. kids are cute. hannah is a hoot these days. so many funny stories. let's see.... she finally is in a big girl bed now which has been somewhat sad since that means she's growing up, but fun to see her in it. my parents gave us their day bed and it's perfect for her room. we put her crib mattress next to it just in case she falls out and she fell out the first night and it scared her, but thankfully she didnt' remember it the next day so all was well. one night though i went in to check on her before bed and she was sound asleep with her legs under the bed and her body on teh crib mattress. if i knew how to post pictures on the blog i woudl post it, but i don't so you'll have to use your imagination. then that same night i was up for a little bit and couldn't sleep so i checked on her again and her legs were dangling off the side of the bed sound asleep. like mommy like daughter. my mom said i would fall off the top bunk of my bed and stay asleep. they finally had to move me to the bottom bed.
oh and yesterday during hannah's room time i was having some quiet time with God and i heard her say something having yuckie poo poo and i just assumed that she had gone in her diaper like she usually does during her room time. well when i went to get her she had poop all over her hands and had smeared it on the crib mattress. thank the Lord i was praying durign that time, because i think he sent His angels to guide her hands only to the mattress which was easy to clean and not the curtains or any stuffed animals. it made for a fun morning activity of playing in the shower. if only that would have happened on ryan's clock. i woudl have paid to see him deal with that one! :)
caleb is cute too, but doesn't do much still. but he has started laughing like a woodpecker and it cracks us up. he loves his big sister and tries to talk to her all the time. and hannah is really starting to warm up to him. when he gets up from his nap she likes to go get her stool and go into this room and turn the light on. then she climbs up on teh crib to look over at him and says in her sweet big sister voice, "good morning buddy". very cute.
ryan has a good one too. i planned a surprise bachelor's weekend for him and made all his favorite snacks, borrowed a playstation 2, rented a war movie, set up a poker night and took the kids up to my parents for 3 nights. i would have won the best wife award except that when i tried to tell him about the surprise i thought i woudl be funny and when he came home from work i told him that the kids and i were leaving him. he got the most freaked out look on his face and said in this panic voice, "why?!" and then i proceeded to laugh and explain it was for the weekend. he didn't seem to think it was as funny as i did and i think it took him a while to realize that i was going to come back. oops! i felt really bad. but he had a great time, so i think i still won the best wife, but with a sick and twisted sense of humor award.
welp that's all for now. tracey i miss you and i hope we can chat sometime soon! i know we are both busy, but some day soon i'm sure.
i hope you get to see some bears mary, but not too close. very cool to see a moose's behind. and oh i keep forgetting to thank you matt for the pandora website awhile ago. very cool site and found some new songs that i was into.
