As I reflect back on my life so far I have realized that I'm really just an average girl, with an average life, living with an average disease. But what I do have is an AMAZING God who continues to blow me away with His love and His grace in my life. This is my attempt at putting into writing my journey so far.

i've had 2 good days in a row with happy and sleeping babies. thank you Lord! tomorrow is Hannah's birthday party. She's been singing happy birthday to herself today. I've been so excited for her friends to come and play. I've never really had them all over to play outside because it's been too hot this summer, but tomorrow is supposed to be nice. i've got different play stations set up, her swing set, some sidewalk chalk, water balloons, and a water and bean station where they can play and splash, and her ball tent.

and trace, i've been meaning to comment on your blog about being a grown up and falling asleep at 8:30pm on Friday. Unfortunately I think i can top that. I was in my MOPS group last week (Mothers Of PreSchoolers, which in itself probably tops that :)), and they asked us what our dream day would be if we had no kids or husbands around. Everyone was saying they would shop and get massages or read their favorite book. The very first thing that popped in my head was to nap and clean my house. How sad is that! So enjoy those early bed times while you can! ;)

Flight Plan with Jodie Foster starts tonight. It looks really good. I loved Panic Room. I saw the preview for it while we were seeing Red Eye. Which is another good movie I must say.

welp I hear Hannah chatting away in her crib. Have a great weekend all. I can't wait for VA beach next weekend!

i've started to blog a few times this past month, but something always interrupts me...either a talking 2 year old or a crying baby. so i'm going to make this short and sweet.

as most of you know Caleb is here. he's actually a month old today! he's a cutie that's for sure. he is already a lot different than hannah (different meaning harder! :) ). they keep me on my toes and i'm pretty much always exhausted, but it's been fun and i love being a family of four.

if i wasn't sure if we were the nuclear family with our house in the suburbs, dog, fence and 1 child. we know have the 2 children and a new mini-van, so there is no denying it anymore! it's a company van which is really nice for road trips, but the ironic thing about it is ryan has to drive it most of the time and i'm the one lugging 2 kids around. but's that's ok, there is plenty of room in our camry and it doesn't take up as much road space.

we took our first road trip in it last weekend to cincinnati for ryan's dad's 60th birthday. it went pretty good, but i was exhausted by the end of the weekend. oh wait i started off exhausted too, so i guess it didn't affect me much. :) we had a great time and went to this fun vineyard restaurant where you cook your own steaks and you get a bottle of wine to go with your meal. i think you have been there before right trace? Dad Good promised that we would go again when i wasn't breastfeeding and didn't have 2 kids to look after so i could really enjoy it, but it was fun even despite that. kevin and emily got to come so that was great seeing them. i can't wait to see their new house.

welp i pushed that last paragraph..hannah is up and i hear caleb stirring, better post this one.

peace out!

"wake up wake up...there's something going on anywhere i go" - that one's for you mare! :)
