As I reflect back on my life so far I have realized that I'm really just an average girl, with an average life, living with an average disease. But what I do have is an AMAZING God who continues to blow me away with His love and His grace in my life. This is my attempt at putting into writing my journey so far.

wow i really thought i had blogged a few times since my last, but apparently only in my brain. lots has happened. as most of you know we are now expecting baby good number 3! very exciting yet scary at the same time. i'm feeling pretty good other than tired and irritable. pretty much the norm from the other preganancies as well. he/she is due December 22nd so it looks like we will be in lexington this christmas.

we had a great visit in columbus with aunt meredith and uncle joe and of course grandma and papaw. too short as usual, but thanks to the new oldsmobile (oops i mean intrigue ;) ) we will hopefully get to see more of joe and mere!

i took the kids to Raleigh to visit my sister last week and went solo. God was so good to me because they did amazing in the car, especially for only sleeping about an hour. The trip there was pretty uneventful. We did find a mall with some rides that was a great break. Mom and dad came down to visit for a few days as well and that was a lot of fun. we missed you joe and mere! hopefully we'll be able to do a whole family trip again sometime. the ladies got pedicures at walmart of all places and surprisingly enough, it was the best one i have had. And then Jenn's friend watched the kids for us while we went out for my birthday and dad's. They said that i could pick and i wasn't in the mood for going to a restaurant because i can do that with hannah and caleb. So instead we went to the food court in the mall and played catan. that was so much fun and such a good choice! it would have been better if my dad didn't win his 3rd or 4th game straight, but still a great time. We also got to see Jenn get baptized. that was so great to be a part of that. i'm glad she waited for me to come down.

Jenn and i had a pretty laid back week the rest of the week. the kids had to sleep in the same room and Caleb didnt' seem to like that very much so he was up at 6:30am just about every morning. so i didnt' get a whole lot of sleep. friday Jenn and i went to see the Davinci code while her friend came over again. Thank God for Amanda! Has anyone read the book or seen that movie? I was extremely offended by it. i know it's fiction, but i really felt like it was leading people astray, becuase the line between fact and fiction was very blurry. at least in the movie it was. i had never read the book. i won't give it away unless someone asks. apparently it's been in the news before, i just had never heard about it.

on my way home from Raleigh i had a couple of adventures. we were about an hour away from teh mall again and i got pulled over by a cop. i was trying to get the kids situated for a little nap and didn't realize that i was going 90 in a 70.... ooops! when the cop asked for my registration i couldn't get my glove compartment open because the stroller was in the way and i just broke down sobbing. i was shaking and crying and the cop was like "calm down mam, we'll get it." i apologized for my outburst and told him it has been a long day and the sweet man thankfully gave me a warning. of course he would have to be pretty cold hearted to give a single mom with 2 kids in a car a ticket.

and then when we got to the mall i had to go to the bathroom so bad and was unable to even stand up. so here i was with 2 kids that i still needed to get out of the car, a stroller to get out and set up and still walk to the mall. well not to go into too much detail, but after 2 kids and already having a weak bladder, i knew that there was no way i would make it, so i had no choice but to relieve myself in the parking garage. i really can't believe i just typed this for all of the public to read, but at least it will make some of your most humiliating experiences not look so bad. :) But thankfully no one was around and i was able to get the mall with no other problems.

other than that, the kids slept the rest of the way home and i made it safely. so now i'm just trying to get caught up on sleep this week. ryan is gone yet again this week until thursday.

welp that's enough typing for me. have a good one everyone!
